Presenting a tour of the history of our mountain ranges as designed by the glaciers that helped to form our beautiful Rocky Mountains. This tour will begin in Vail’s beautiful glacial valley. We will examine a variety of spectacular glacial features on a loop through Leadville, Minturn, Copper Mountain, and Frisco. The tour will be lead by the State Geologist and Director of the Colorado Geological Survey, Dr. Vince Matthews.
